At the traditional Hacienda El Carmelo, located in La Tebaida, Quindío—where you can enjoy the best climate in the region—we are pioneers in offering horseback riding experiences. With over 15 years of experience, we have taken the concept of horseback riding and connection with the countryside to another level.
On this spacious family-owned property, you can enjoy citrus crops such as sweet oranges, Tahiti lime, sugar cane, corn, and cattle farming.
In addition, the hacienda features vast natural reserves, lakes, mountains, river-formed canyons, and extensive bamboo groves. It is also the home to hundreds of wild animals and songbirds, leading to one of the most breathtaking natural sights:
the meeting of the Espejo and La Vieja rivers.
In the middle of this green paradise, you’ll find ancestral, private, and safe trails that offer the perfect ride along with gentle, well-trained horses, ideal for mountain paths and familiar with the terrain.
Our experienced cowboys will choose a horse based on your skill level and will guide you with:
kindness, joy, hospitality, and above all, safety.
