INTEGRATED POLICY

El Carmelo Turismo is a sustainable agency that ensures its facilities are properly maintained to provide horseback riding tourism services in La Tebaida, Quindío, tailored to the needs and expectations of its clients.

To achieve this, it has implemented sustainability, occupational health and safety, quality, and continuous improvement programs that allow it to remain aware of the effects of its activities. It is committed to avoiding:

  • The sexual exploitation of children, adolescents, women, and minorities.
  • The use, publication, or distribution of images, texts, documents, audiovisual files, misuse of global information networks, or any telematic links related to pornographic material or sexual exploitation of minors.
  • The trafficking and/or mistreatment of flora and fauna.
  • The trafficking and/or damage of cultural, historical, or archaeological assets of the region and country.
    Any act of racism or discrimination.

All staff members clearly understand that they must immediately report any irregularities to the competent authorities.

Likewise, the organization commits to contributing positively through the following:

  • Complying with applicable legal regulations to ensure safety in all areas, especially health and safety standards for users, staff, and suppliers.

  • Promoting responsible behavior during horseback rides through internal operating regulations.
    Committing to the care and health of animals.

  • Recording visitor information in the virtual form “USER REGISTRATION, DECLARATION, AND MINOR AUTHORIZATION” at the beginning of activities, especially for minors, ensuring safety conditions and individual responsibility.
    Raising awareness about proper protection of natural resources without affecting biodiversity.
    Hiring qualified personnel with the skills needed to ensure safety during horseback riding.

  • Requiring suppliers to provide suitable products and services that support sustainability.

  • Continuously training and educating staff to deliver quality service and prevent internal and external conflicts.

    These policies establish the rights and responsibilities regarding sustainability and activity development for clients, staff, and suppliers.

CANCELLATION POLICY

  • Cancellations must be made by contacting Cabalgatas El Carmelo directly at the following phone numbers: 3117647867 or 312 777 0006.
  • Cancellations made at least 24 hours in advance (for viewpoint and ecological rides) may be rescheduled without losing the payment. For VIP rides, cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance.
  • Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance (or 48 hours for VIP and picnic rides) cannot be rescheduled and will incur a 50% penalty of the service value (without entitlement to included items).
  • No full refunds will be issued under any circumstances, except when the organization must cancel due to internal reasons or force majeure.
  • Activities take place outdoors, and weather conditions may affect them. If attendees decide not to ride due to rain while on-site, the activity may be rescheduled subject to availability.

VISITOR SAFETY POLICY

  • During the ride, all rules, recommendations, and instructions given before the activity must be followed to ensure visitor safety.

  • All staff are trained and equipped with a first aid kit at all times to handle potential health issues.

  • Only one rider is allowed per horse.

  • Alcoholic beverages or psychoactive substances are not permitted before or during the activity, nor are drinks in glass containers.

ANIMAL CARE AND WELFARE POLICY

  • Ensure animals are treated fairly, based on respect, compassion, care, and the elimination of abuse, neglect, or cruelty. This includes proper feeding, hydration, shelter, veterinary care, and all necessary conditions for their well-being.
  • Promote awareness of protecting natural resources without affecting biodiversity, supporting conservation and growth of native species, and preventing illegal trafficking.
  • Implement actions to reduce pollution by responsibly managing water and energy use and properly handling waste, contributing to environmental conservation and reducing our ecological footprint.

PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION POLICY

By accepting our services, clients freely, voluntarily, and expressly authorize El Carmelo Turismo to collect, store, process, share, update, and manage the personal data provided during registration, including sharing it with partner businesses to offer more personalized services.
